详细说明: 1919-S Buffalo Nickel. MS-65 (NGC). One of the finest examples of this date and prohibitive at this Gem level or finer, as so few exist. Notice here the glorious rainbow shades in thin peripheral lines at the extreme edge, especially on the reverse. The balance of the surfaces are toned in sunset-crimson and lemon-green hues of rather high intensity in terms of color. Lustrous throughout and free of all but trivial signs of contact and no carbon issues are seen. The strike is average or so, with minor peripheral softness and both dies show evidence of wear with stress lumps appearing in the peripheral regions. These features are common this this particular date and several other mintmarked issues of this series. The bison does have a fully formed horn, and the mintmark is clear. One of the tougher condition rarities to find in Gem and certain to delight any specialist with its regal toning array.
