1895-S Barber Quarter. MS-65 (NGC). Warmly patinated in even sandy-silver patina, both sides exhibit a smooth satin texture to sharply impressed features. This is a scarce issue even in worn condition, the mintage relatively limited at 1,764,681 pieces. Mint State survivors of even marginal quality are scarce, while Gems such as this are nothing short of rare. PCGS# 5612. NGC ID: 23Y6. NGC Census: 9; 3 finer (MS-68 finest).
