While nearly 79.5 million nickels fell from the dies at the Philadelphia mint in 1937, and the date is readily available in grades up to and including MS67+, this date is VERY RARE in MS68 or finer. Blazing luster radiates off the SUPERB quality surfaces. A hint of soft rainbow toning at the periphery frames the chromelike brilliance. The strike is bold and sharp on both sides. The eye appeal is incredible. PCGS 27, NGC 31. It needs to be noted that only a single MS68 or MS68+ has ever been endorsed by CAC. The most recent example sold in February 2023 for $9,000 and we sold one for $9,106 in September 2019. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $9,000.
