- 1858 Pattern Indian Cent. Judd-211, Pollock-262, Snow-PT26a, Snow Die Pair I. Rarity-4. Copper-Nickel. Plain Edge. Proof-64 (PCGS). CAC. Obv:Design type of 1859 to 1860 Indian cents, with Centered Date. Snow Die Pair I is a Doubled Die Obverse variety, most readily evident at the letters RICA in AMERICA. Rev:The denomination ONE CENT within an oak wreath. Beautiful olive-gold surfaces. As is characteristic of many mid-19th century nickel alloy Proofs, the fields are frosty rather than mirrorlike.
