- A brilliant and flashy CAMEO Proof example of this final year of the denomination. Aside from a delicate iridescent white-silver hue, the surfaces are virtually untoned, leaving the boldness of the mirrors' depth unimpeded in any way. A smattering of scattered, small flaws, some mint made, are noted only with the aid of a powerful loupe. The devices show sharply defined detailing with bold frostiness. Only 600 Proofs were struck. PCGS 7, NGC 6. The last time a non-CAC approved example sold was in April 2018, realizing $2,526. This coin has been off the market for nearly a decade, last selling in August 2011, and bringing $2,530. Prior to that, this coin sold three other times between 2004 and 2009, realizing between $2,300 and $2,760. Only four coins have graded higher at PCGS in the CAM designation, making this a great collector coin for anyone working on this series for a Registry Set. Cert. Number 21626453 PCGS # 84456.00
