CURATED BY REAL AMERICAN TREASURE What makes this lot special is the NGC Generation 2.1 holder with the gold embossed NGC logo on the inside, and the plastic on top of the white core insert on the reverse or back of the coin holder. Our consignor's research to date suggests that at least 2,000 coins were encapsulated in these holders roughly a week or two in late October 1987. A soft pastel rainbow crescent adorns the obverse of this beautiful BU 83-O. We sold an example of this holder for $1,351 in December 2022. We like this coin better and it should sell for more. Cert.
