S-1765; N-1387. Class C. Obverse: Crowned facing bust, within tressure of nine arcs; inward-facing lis on seven cusps, mullet on right shoulder; Reverse: Long cross pattee, with trefoil in each angle. This hammered Groat from the reign of Edward V has a consistent level of wear across the design with a dark cinder toning and a strong evenly centered strike. Some edge clipping has very likely taken place, however.
Estimate: $100 - $200.
Provenance: From the Runze Collection (purchased from Davisson's).
Ex: Reigate Hoard.
