A bright and lustrous example with a bold, flashy mint brilliance that radiates both sides. Sharply struck, this wonderful example has full definition to Liberty's drapery folds and the eagle's feathers. Some minor, scattered bag marks are noted, but have little impact on the outstanding visual allure. The 1860 saw a mintage of 217,600 and most were exported to the far east. The 1860 dollar is much rarer than the 1860-O in the same grade, but carries little premium. PCGS 19, NGC 9. The most recent example to sell in auction realized $2,880 in August 2019; prior to that, the last one sold six years earlier. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $4,500. Worthy of a placement in a wonderful Seated dollar or type set. Good luck. Cert. Number 45250015 PCGS # 6949
