- 1741-A Sou Marque. Paris Mint. Vlack-20. Rarity-1. First Semester. AU-58 (PCGS). 31.9 grains. Slightly mottled pale steel-gray patina to surfaces that retain full silvering and nearly complete luster in a soft satin texture. Vlack writes of a small hoard of this variety, which explains his Rarity-1 rating. The author also observes that most specimens therein "were very worn and thin and all lacked any silvering," which confirms the awesome condition rarity of the offered specimen.
