- T. W. J. Collection. Well recognized as a key, or at minimum a strong semi-key, 1923-S requires little introduction here other than to say they rarely show up with strong strikes. Even the present example features bold major details but perhaps lacks delineation of some of the smallest devices. While minimal luster remains within the protected areas, the coin overall displays bone-grey patina. A couple of minor, darker grey spots on the reverse are of no major concern.
