An exquisite SUPERB survivor from a mintage of 800, a coin that clearly ranks among the highest graded (just three are graded higher). The boldest of mirrors are exceptionally clean and offer a delightful depth of clarity on both sides. Both sides are bathed in a spectacular blend of iridescent blue, rose, gold, and violet patina. The devices are sharply impressed and the eye appeal is incredible. Only 800 were struck in Proof. PCGS 6, NGC 8, CAC 6. While the most recent example sold April 2021 for $5,280, we sold one in September 2018 for $7,344. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $8,500. Just three are graded finer but they rarely appear in auction (the only 67+ sold in April 2021 and the last 68 sold back in 2006!). Bound for a spectacular collection, bid accordingly. Cert.
