- This incredible SUPERB GEM has to be one of the FINEST KNOWN! In fact it is the HIGHEST GRADED at PCGS in ANY designation! An exceptionally well preserved survivor from an original mintage of just 122 pieces. Of the 122 Proofs originally struck, John Dannreuther suggests that perhaps 60-70 are known in all grades, including the Mint Cabinet coin that is impounded in the Smithsonian; the Anderson-Dupont-Josiah Lily coin that is also impounded there, and the J. Colvin Randall-J.P. Morgan example that has been in the ANS collection in New York since 1908. Rich golden-yellow-orange color attests to this beauty's unconserved, totally original allure. Exceedingly deep mirrors seem endless and enjoy bold clarity and superb cleanliness. The reflectivity of this coin nearly blinds you. Miss Liberty and every detail are needle sharp in strike and are fully frosted, bathed in thick golden frost that dramatically contrasts with the rippling, orange peel textured mirrored fields. Essentially perfect in every way, the eye appeal really is amazing! One glance and your heart will be pounding! PCGS 5, NGC 7, CAC 4. This is the ONLY PR67+ DCAM and there are NONE FINER at PCGS. The last PCGS PR67 DCAM with CAC approval brought nearly $45,000 in our November 2018 Regency Auction--that was nearly five years ago! The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $65,000. With nearly nothing hotter than Proof gold in today's market, we know this coin will bring a WORLD RECORD bid when it crosses the block. Bound for an AMAZING collection of Proof quarter eagles! Cert.
