- Within the TOP 10 graded examples at PCGS, this SUPERB GEM has a strong, steely nickel-silver reflective surface on both sides. The eye appeal is exceptional! There are only eight examples graded finer, including 6 in PR68 and a single PR69. PCGS 33, NGC 16, CAC 16. The NGC number is for all varieties of 1879s. There are only 3 coins graded PR67+ at PCGS, and we sold the most recent example in the Regency Auction XV, December 2015, for $3,055 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is $4,000.
