- MOZAMBIQUE. Mozambique - Mexico. 8 Reales, ND (1765). Jose I. NGC VF-35. KM-29; Gomes-Jo.28.07; Vaz-Unlisted; Azevedo-pg. 29. Issued by decree of 20 August 1765 under Governor Baltazar Manoel Pereira do Lago. Countermark: Ligate MR incuse. Applied to the obverse of a 1759-Mo MM Mexico "Pillar" 8 Reales of Ferdinand VI (KM-104.1). The countermark is bold on a decently preserved host displaying light attractive gray tone with richer coloration amongst the devices. Estimate: $800 - $1,200.
