- GERMANY. Nurnberg. Completion of the New Town Hall Silvered Copper Medal, 1890. PCGS SPECIMEN-62+ Gold Shield. 70mm; 123.60 gms. Erlanger-283. By Lauer. Obverse: Jugate busts left of two mayors, von Stromer and von Seiler, right; two small coats-of-arms to left and right; Reverse: Perspective view of the new Town Hall. Extremely untoned and highly argent, this supremely brilliant specimen dazzles the eye with frosted devices and a high degree of reflectivity. Noted, however, are some scattered hairlines in the fields as well as a minor spot behind the busts. Nevertheless, an exceptionally engaging example. Estimate: $200 - $400.
