详细说明: 1895 Liberty Quarter Eagle. Proof-68 Ultra Cameo (NGC). Extraordinary quality for the connoisseur which includes the visual depth in contrast between the mirrored fields and frosted devices. Fully brilliant throughout with no signs of toning noted. Each device shows thick mint frost which is virtually perfect in preservation, a feature that is required for this superlative grade. Mintage of 122 pieces for the year, with perhaps 60 to 80 existing today. The present coin is likely the very tied for finest of that select group with just one other, both in terms of technical merits as well as the highly desirable Ultra Cameo contrast. PCGS has not certified any of this date above PR-67 in any Prooflike category.<br /> <br /> These early gold Proofs have always been the king's caviar of American numismatics. Most of these Proofs were issued in sparse numbers, and survivors are even scarcer.
