- 1741-K Sou Marque. Bordeaux Mint. Vlack-124, var. AU-50 (PCGS). 31.1 grains. Unlike the listed variety of this issue, this piece has no stop after the mintmark, and none after the millstone. Both of these design elements also show traces of repunching, as do the digit 4 in the date and a few other features. Sharply struck on a trivially rough planchet, traces of silvering remain, surfaces predominantly deep golden-gray and steel. Provenance: From the Sydney F. Martin Collection.
