THE GEORGE SCHWENK COLLECTION The 26-S is another "strike rarity" in the series, and the date is notorious for poorly struck examples. This coin is essentially a FULL GEM and has a better than average strike. All three leaves on Liberty's crown are visible, though the hairline and ear are not struck up, similar to the shield, most of the rivets are visible, but not razor sharp. A glowing mint frost and satiny lustrous surfaces compliment the pearlescent hues. The eye appeal is wonderful. PCGS 134, NGC 85, CAC 14. There are just four in MS64+ at PCGS. None have sold since 2019; a non "+" PCGS MS64 CAC sold in June 2021 for $2,760. The current PCGS Price Guide value is $3,000. Scarce finer, and RARE higher with a fully struck head, this MS64+ has a lot to offer the collector. Cert. Number 20304151 PCGS # 5758
