1850-C Gold Dollar. AU-50 (PCGS). OGH. The deep honey-gold centers of this attractive branch mint gold dollar are encircled by halos of rich orange iridescence. The strike is bold for the date and type, and no marks of any measure are seen by the unaided eye. The mintage of 6,966 pieces for the date represents the lowest regular-issue production run of any Type I gold dollar from the Charlotte Mint. Interested bidders should flock to this coin given its pleasing physical quality and overall aesthetic charm.
