A multicolored GEM example of this early 20th century Proof Barber quarter. The flashy mirrored surfaces are clean and offer bold clarity throughout. The obverse has a mottled blend of azure, crimson, pale gold, and rich violet hues, while the reverse has some delicate silvery-gray toning dusted on the reverse. Careful inspection of the reverse with a glass shows many microscopic die lines in the fields. The eye appeal is quite pleasing overall. PCGS 18, NGC 35. Only 813 Proofs were struck. None have sold in auction since August 2017--nearly four years ago. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $2,100. Scarce finer, these are just so cheap right now. Cert.
