- GREAT BRITAIN. Crown, 1746. London Mint. George II. PCGS AU-58 Gold Shield. S-3689; KM-585.3; Dav-1350. "LIMA" type. Struck from silver captured from the Spanish near Peru. A beautiful eye catching example of this popular type exhibiting a bold even strike displaying attractive mottled gray patina with a plethora of iridescent hues that pop out when tilted in the light. A very attractive and highly desirable survivor that clearly sat for a prolonged period of time undisturbed. Estimate: $1,500 - $2,000. Provenance: From the Trident Collection.
