Noe-37. 17.0 grains. The Noe-37 is NOT a with Pellets type as noted on the NGC insert. Massachusetts silver coins, the smaller denominations especially were crudely produced, first using rocker dies, then on a screw press. The Pine Tree threepence offered here is delightfully crude, with a weakly areas of weakness of strike. The reverse is well centered and well struck; the obverse is a little misalligned and weak at the top. A few ancient scratches and marks are note for full disclosure. Decent overall and a scarce early colonial silver coin. PCGS 4, NGC 2. The most recent three pence to sell realized $1,704 in a March 2017 auction ( different variety). An NGC coin sold in February 2013 for $1,410. The current PCGS value is $1,800. This is a neat type coin for the collector on a budget and we anticipate strong bidding participation. Cert.
