- NETHERLANDS. Visit From the First Japanese Delegation Bronze Medal, 1862. PCGS SPECIMEN-64 Brown Gold Shield. Dirks-877. Two line Japanese inscription professing friendship between Japan and the Netherlands, Dutch legend around; Reverse: Arms of the Netherlands and crest of the Tokugawa family in center between two dates, legend around. Our first offering of this medal in four years (Baltimore, November 2015, lot #42694). Brown prooflike surfaces with a few hairlines. Included is an old envelope from Henry Christensen, Inc.
