详细说明: 1846-C Liberty Head Quarter Eagle. AU-55 (PCGS). Vibrant yellow-gold surfaces showcase considerable mint luster in the protected areas on both sides. The strike is bold for the issue and there are no individually distracting abrasions. An exceptional survivor of this issue that falls just outside of the Condition Census. For decades the gold coins of the Charlotte and Dahlonega mints have overshadowed the issues of Philadelphia, Carson City, New Orleans, and San Francisco in the eyes of collectors. Just 4,808 1846-C quarter eagles were produced and only about 100 coins survive. The typical example is generally found at VF to EF, with AU pieces significantly more elusive.
