- Contemporary Counterfeit 1710-AA 30 Deniers, or Mousquetaire. In Imitation of Metz Mint. Vlack-Unlisted. VF-25 (PCGS). 31.8 grains. An unlisted contemporary counterfeit of this Metz Mint issue, very crude in manufacture, although the Ns in the legend are not reversed, as seen in the Vlack-338 type. The AA mintmark looks like a letter M. Dark charcoal-olive and russet surfaces with some softness in isolated areas, yet most major design elements bold. Very rare. Provenance: From the Sydney F.
