After 33+ years of grading, this magnificent piece ranks among the absolute FINEST graded 1883 No Cents Proof Nickels, which says a lot about their rarity in such lofty grade! Extraordinary, semi-liquid deep, crystal clear, clean, highly reflective mirrors beam from all over and both sides have a light, even layer of natural gold. There are a few microscopic toning dots. Miss Liberty and the details are frosty and have needle sharp strikes. The eye appeal is gorgeous! PCGS 12, NGC 17, CAC 13. There are just two examples graded PR67+ at PCGS. This beautifully preserved and visually stunning coin realized $6,756 back in our October 2014 Regency Auction IX. Five years since, the Collectors Universe value is listed at $5,250.
