- A GEM DCAM Proof, one of only 125 struck. This coin has a great look, combining exceptionally deep, reflective mirrored fields that contrast against the thickly frosted reliefs. Some minor planchet flakes are noted, where minor impurities in the planchet came to the surface, resulting in some splashes of deeper orange tones over the lovely golden fields. A wonderful orange peel texture in the fields ripples on the delightful mirrors. Only 125 Proofs were struck. PCGS 4, NGC 3, CAC 3. No PCGS/CAC PR65 DCAM has ever sold in auction. The current Collectors Universe value is listed at $15,000 and the CAC CPG Value is $11,900. A delightful little coin, worthy of a fantastic gold Proof type set or date set of Proof gold dollars.
