1804 Draped Bust Cent. S-266, the only known dies. Rarity-2. Noyes Die State C. Fine-12 (PCGS). OGH. Microporous light golden tan surfaces with a look suggestive of a long-ago cleaning. Overall details meet the criteria for the assigned grade; we note a trifling weakness at D STAT on the reverse. No serious marks are present to the unassisted eye, and no heavy marks manifest themselves under low magnification. Late die states, obverse rim cud above RTY, reverse rim cud above MERIC. A rare key date in the large cent series.
