Peripherally toned in iridescent reddish-gold, this otherwise brilliant example readily reveals bold field to device contrast at all viewing angles. Associated by date with a low mintage circulation strike issue, the 1889 is one of the more eagerly sought Proofs from the later Liberty Seated quarter series.
