Among the half dozen FINEST GRADED by PCGS, the Plain 5 is considerably more rare than the Fancy 5 variety offered above. This RED GEM has a fabulous look. Some light flecks and a tiny tick are noted for the sake of full disclosure, but require a strong glass to locate them. The luster is a bold, flaming red that highlights the sharply struck devices. The eye appeal is wonderful. PCGS 1, NGC 0. There are just five finer at PCGS. This is not the coin that was CAC approved that sold in August 2019 for $4,440--that coin must have upgraded and been taken off the Population Report.
