- What a GORGEOUS essentially GEM quality DMPL 79-CC dollar. Tied for second HIGHEST GRADED at either service, the finest either service has graded is MS65 DMPL. Many of the known Mint State survivors of this lower mintage came out of the Treasury Department vaults in the 1950s and then later on in the GSA releases, these were mostly frosty lustrous examples. Deep Prooflike examples are VERY RARE in all grades, and we all know how tough CAC is on DMPLs, so to find one so fine with approval (none of the MS65 DMPL examples have been approved), is a real prize for the advanced Morgan dollar specialist. WOW! What a brilliant and reflective DMPL 79-CC! The flashy fields are like freshly cut sheets of ice, offering blazing, ultra clean and reflective mirrors that beam a full 8+" deep. The razor sharp devices are thickly frosted and stand out boldly in a dramatic black and white Cameo effect. There are some scattered "ticks and giggles" but these are very minor, microscopic, and have zero impact on the AMAZING eye appeal. PCGS 21, NGC 11, CAC 8. Only three are graded MS64+ DMPL at PCGS, including the Bender Collection piece that sold for $45,600 in August 2022. This coin has less ticks in the focal areas in front of Liberty's face and on her cheek, thus is perhaps a hair finer in our opinion. The current PCGS Price Guide value is $62,500. NOTE, while PCGS has graded 2 in MS65 DMPL finer, neither has sold since the 2005 FUN Auction. This is a very important opportunity for the collector that demands the absolute FINEST. Do not let this opportunity pass you by! Cert. Number 39821485 PCGS # 97087
