详细说明: From the South Texas Collection. Ex Hesselgesser Collection. Visually STUNNING and virtually MINT STATE! This GEM AU has just the slightest hint of friction on the highest details, keeping it from a full BU grade. It really does rank high among those graded 58, and is Premium Quality! Both sides have an essentially full satin, frosty mint luster, although the obverse definitely has some Prooflike tendencies when rotated in a light. Dove and olive patina blend together with accents of russet-tan and clear gold attesting to the originality of the surfaces. The surfaces are likewise unmolested and even using a strong glass we cannot find and marks worthy of mention. All the devices are crisply defined, with Liberty's hair tresses fully and deeply embossed, and there is just the slightest hint of weakness at the central reverse. The eye appeal is exceptional and VERY HIGH END for the assigned grade. In the old days, this coin would likely have been described as Uncirculated. PCGS 21, NGC 6, CAC 4. The most recent AU58 graded by PCGS to sell in auction realized $84,000 in March 2018. As part of the Hesselgesser Sale in September 2011, this coin sold for $63,250 and another coin, a B-10 sold for $97,750.
