THE SO-CAL COLLECTION OF MATTE PROOF LINCOLNS This RB has so much RED that you would think it would grade in the RD category. Maybe one day it will (no guarantees)! The rich red color displays just a light overtone of tangerine, rose, and soft violet. A million microscopic facets glitter in the light giving this sandblast Proof a satiny brilliance that is a delight to behold. The devices are sharply struck up and have fully defined details. The eye appeal is incredible for the assigned grade. The mintage was 2,405 Matte Proofs struck. PCGS 78, NGC 45, CAC 29. The most recent example to sell was the Young-Dakota Collection coin we sold in Regency Auction 50. Prior to that we sold one for $1,351 in Regency Auction 45.
