A glorious and brilliant untoned silver luster glows with a strong vivacity across the surfaces. Sharply struck devices stand out boldly, with full head and full shield definition. Truly a neat GEM example of this date, struck from a shattered obverse die (there are many die cracks of varied length and thickness seen all over). The eye appeal is really very neat. PCGS 59, NGC 29. Much better in strike than the one that sold in February 2020 for $1,680, prior to that, these were selling between $2,160 and $3,525 and the current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $3,500. Counting no doubt some duplication, fewer than 30 have ever graded finer. No doubt this GEM will see spirited bidding. Cert. Number 32934304 PCGS # 5749
