- GREAT BRITAIN. Anglo-Saxon. Kings of All England. Penny, ND (ca. 1029-35/6). Stamford Mint; Leofdaeii, moneyer. Cnut. PCGS MS-62.
S-1159; N-790. Obverse: Diademed and draped bust left; scepter to left; Reverse: Voided cross, with annulet at center. An exceptional example, this Penny--from the rule of the Danish Cnut--is brilliantly struck and centered with no evidence of handling. A light green tone acts to highlight and enhance the overall deep color of this beautiful coin.
