- Subtle russet and violet toning towards the rims graces the obverse of this GEM proof providing a nice contrast with the near white central devices. The reverse is richly toned in shades of deep blue and red gold. The two sides are different and both are appealing. Only 543 Proof dimes were struck in 1911. PCGS 15, NGC 7, CAC 10. The current PCGS Price Guide lists the value at $1,700. Last sale at auction was in June 2013 for $2,232.
