- Lot 1410 1854-O. Large date. PCGS graded AU-58. CAC. PQ.A lovely example with nice mint luster. Should be regraded to Mint State. The date punch was intended for the double eagle or silver dollar, and is quite large on this eagle sized coin. Excellent surfaces with only a few shallow ticks and most of the luster is intact. As commonly seen the strike is a touch soft on the curl that dangles down over her neck, this is nearly always seen on this New Orleans issue. A lovely example of this date and mint and a true condition rarity at this lofty grade. Only 52,500 struck. Pop 19; 4 finer at PCGS.(PCGS # 98614) Estimated Value $8,000 - UP
