- 1863 Washington Portrait / Eagle on Globe. Fuld-120/434 a, Musante GW-585, Baker-467. Rarity-9. Copper. Plain Edge. MS-63 BN (NGC). 19 mm. A second Choice Mint State example from these dies, this piece is more sharply struck in the centers with considerably more mint color in vivid rose-apricot. Light brown toning is seen on both sides. The obverse has a few carbon spots over and around the portrait, and the reverse has a single spot at the border outside the letters AT in STATES. Provenance: From the Sherwood Collection.
