- 1740-X Sou Marque. Amiens Mint. Vlack-215. Rarity-3. MS-64 (PCGS). 35.4 grains. Delicate iridescent gold toning adorns fully silvered surfaces on both sides of this sharply struck, frosty near-Gem. Minor planchet roughness in the centers is easily forgiven, and a lone carbon spot in the upper left reverse field is mentioned solely for accuracy. A visually engaging, technically superior sou marque from the Amiens Mint that is sure to have no difficulty finding its way into another advanced cabinet. Provenance: From the Sydney F.
