- Stunningly Choice American Entry into the Sun Yat-sen Series (t) CHINA. Silver Dollar Pattern, Year 18 (1929). Hangchow Mint. PCGS SPECIMEN-63. L&M-95; K-616; KM-Pn100; WS-0139; Chang-CH197; Wenchao-910 (rarity: ★★). American Design from Philadelphia Mint dies. This lustrous example of the VERY RARE American pattern offers handsome surfaces and swathes of honey golden color interspersed throughout. As with these pattern types, the strike is very well done, beautifully impressing the exquisitely engraved design. A touch of friction accounts for the grade, though these minor faults are somewhat lost in the beauty of the piece.
