A borderline GEM example of this popular Civil War date Proof. Only 460 were struck during the year that saw the battles of Gettysburg and Vicksburg begin to turn the course of the war. Highly reflective mirrored fields flash from below a wonderful mix of blues and greens. The eye appeal is sensational. Only 460 Proofs were struck. PCGS 38, NGC 41, CAC 4. This is the only PR64+ graded at either service and it sold for $1,080 in October 2018. The current Collectors Universe value is $1,600.
