- O-101. This is the first of many very popular and sought after overdate varieties in the Capped Bust series. Displaying variegated slate, gold, and russet-tan patina that graces both sides. The reverse is more even than the obverse, but the eye appeal is better than often encountered. Struck from a later die state, the obverse has a number of die cracks that encircle that side, and design elements are drawn to the edge on the reverse. PCGS 25, NGC 9. One sold in the recent Summer FUN auction for $1,645, and before that, one sold in the January 2017 FUN auction for $2,115. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $2,500.
