- THE GEORGE SCHWENK COLLECTION A lovely, very choice and high end MS64 1917-S nickel. Nicely struck with overall bold definition on the devices. Lustrous surfaces gleam with a soft iridescent toning on the reverse especially. There are no serious marks of any kind and the eye appeal is very pleasing overall. PCGS 232, NGC 154, CAC 28. The most recent example sold in August 2022 for $2,040. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $2,500 and the CAC CPG value is $2,750. This date becomes quite scarce in GEM, especially with CAC approval. A great coin for any serious collector. Cert. Number 44297564 PCGS # 3936
