- "1792" (ca. 1858) George Washington - Martha Washington Medalet. By Robert Lovett, Jr. Musante GW-264, Baker-209, Fuld-115B/115C f. Rarity-9. Silver. Plain Edge. MS-64 (PCGS). 13 mm. Lovely steely-olive toning with iridescent reddish-apricot undertones. The fields and well mirrored, the motifs satiny and well struck. A very rare Civil War patriotic die combination in any metal, but one that is especially desirable in silver. Provenance: From the Kessler Collection of Washingtonia.
