- GREAT BRITAIN. Assistance Given to the United Provinces Silver Medal, 1586. Elizabeth I (1558-1603). PCGS AU-53 Secure Holder. 30 mm; 6.06 gms. Eimer-52; MI-I, 133/87. Queen enthroned facing with attendant at left presenting sword to kneeling figures at right; Reverse: Upturned sword with tip in radiant cloud, legend around. Dutch made medal commemorating English military support granted following the Treaty of Nonsuch in 1585. Nice full strike showing only a small touch of weakness around the figures' feet. No detracting marks or excessive wear and pleasantly toned a medium slate gray with some light blue sheen when rotated. Estimate: $500 - $700. Provenance: From the Michael Druck Collection.
