This impressive SUPERB GEM is tied with just a single other for FINEST GRADED at PCGS. Everything about this coin is GORGEOUS and high end! A radiant, satiny luster has a forceful vibrance. The obverse fields have a subtle prooflike flash, particularly around the date. Stunning pastel teal, gold, peach-rose toning dusts the surfaces, the various tinges of color coming out as you rotate the lustrous surfaces under a light. Sharply struck up, every device is fully and crisply rendered by a forceful blow from the dies. The eye appeal is very high end and you will be hard pressed to find a more beautiful example. PCGS 18, NGC 26, CAC 12. There are two coins graded MS67+ and none are finer. Neither of these have ever sold via auction! We sold a PCGS MS67 CAC (no "+") for $2,585 in our July 2017 Regency Auction. An NGC MS68 sold in July 2005 for $5,750. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $5,500.
