FROM THE UNFORGETTABLE COLLECTION One of the coolest commemorative type coins in the entire series, the special "Specimen" New Rochelle strikes. Only 50 examples were originally struck using specially polished dies. Had these been struck on specially produced planchets and struck with more than one blow from the dies these would have been full Proof strikes. This is one of the FINEST graded and these are just so cool and very RARE! This coin is truly of MAGNIFICENT QUALITY! Truly SUPERB in every way! Glassy reflective mirrors beam in the fields. The icy surfaces have a stunning, blast white, untoned brilliance that glimmers against the sharply struck devices. The eye appeal is AMAZING! PCGS 15, NGC 9, CAC 13. There are four graded SP67+ and just a single SP68 graded higher at PCGS. The current PCGS Price Guide value is listed at $16,500 and the most recent one sold for $13,200 in January 2021.
