- WHOA! What a stunningly RARE fully Prooflike and Premium Quality MS63 1889-CC! The rarest Carson City mint Morgan dollar, a date that is always coveted by collectors regardless of grade, any Mint State piece is a trophy for the Morgan dollar collector. Add to that the incredible, fully reflective luster, sharp strike, and blazing luster, this coin is a very impressive CHOICE Brilliant Uncirculated example. Untoned, and intensely brilliant with an incredible luster, the surfaces have a blinding reflection. The mirrored, icy smoothness of the fields are a delight to behold and have a bold depth of clarity. The sharply struck devices have a rich, frosty texture that at certain angles, gives a nearly cameo like impression. The visual allure is big, bold, and beautiful. PCGS 33, NGC 40, CAC 5. The last two PCGS/CAC examples sold in April 2014, both for around $65,000. The current CAC CPG value is listed at $66,000. There are a dozen graded higher in the PL designation, and the most recent PCGS-graded example sold was a 63+ PL CAC that brought just shy of six-figures in our September 2019 Regency Auction. This is a real prize for the specialist collector, and we know it will sell for a very strong bid when it crosses the block. Good luck! Cert. Number 39551085 PCGS # 7191.00
