A wonderful example of this conditionally challenging date. While 392,000 were struck, few were sent overseas at the time of issue. and any Mint State survivor is very rare. Warm honey gold color glistens on both sides. Scattered light contact is noted on both sides, but we would not classify this coin as choppy or hacked up. The eye appeal is actually quite pleasing for the modest grade assigned. PCGS 189, NGC 167, CAC 10. The last CAC-approved example sold six years ago. The current PCGS Price Guide value is $3,750 and the CAC CPG value is listed at $3,080.
