What a great time keeper of our Civil War era coinage. This coin is a dazzling HIGH END piece. How this survived the Civil War and 157 years is beyond comprehension. Not only did it survive, it did so in such an awesome way! Splendid surfaces have just a tiny scattered tick or two that can only be seen with a glass. The surfaces have a thick satiny texture. A surprising strong luster beams from all over. Absolutely gorgeous toning consisting of original moderate hues of green, blue, gold, rose, pale magenta swirl all over on both sides. You want a 157 years old GEM to look like this. Miss Liberty and the details are delicately frosted and are fully struck. The eye appeal is beautiful! PCGS 17, NGC 3, CAC 12 (hmmm there was clearly a resub on a coin). The last PCGS CAC piece to sell in auction brought $13,513 in our December 2015 Regency Auction. These do no exactly grow on trees! This will make a great addition to any GEM MS Seated set, Civil War set, or Type set. We sure do not see these often. Cert. Number 34348365 PCGS # 6302
